A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.1 Richter Scale hit the Delhi on Monday afternoon, according to TV reports. No loss of life or property reported so far.
According to the reports, Mild to moderate tremors were felt in Lucknow, Punjab, Haryana and some parts of Delhi NCR along with the national capital here.
The epicentre was at Bahudargarh close to the Delhi-Haryana border. The tremors were felt for about 15-20 seconds.
There have been no reports of loss of life or property, so far. Chances of aftershocks are not very high.
The quake occured at about 1.10pm.
One must also note that there were several Earthquakes in the last 15hours in Argentina, Indonesia, Japan, India, Greece.
